The North Kohala Artists' Co-operative Gallery

galllery artists work

Kenji's House is a plantation era homestead in Kapaau on the Island of Hawaii, home to:
  • The North Kohala Artists' Co-operative Gallery
  • Kenji's House Museum
  • Pico's Bistro and Barbecue Grill
Kenji's House is open daily from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

The North Kohala Artists' Cooperative was established in May 2007 by a local group of talented artists, whose art work reflects their life in North Kohala.

The NKAC artists share operation of the Kenji's House Gallery allowing them to sell their work at reasonable prices, without gallery commissions.

Using a variety of media, all of these artists draw upon the unique beauty and character of Kohala for their inspiration. To learn more about these artists and view their work, please visit the Artists Pages.

The NKAC supports art in Kohala by providing space for art classes, meetings and other art-related gatherings. NKAC also sponsors art classes and activities in the community, such as a series of Life Drawing Sessions (with live models) and the Kapaau Village Stroll.
